Crisis Counseling
Crisis counseling is an intervention that can help victims deal with a crisis by offering assistance and support. The primary purpose of crisis counseling is to help a victim restore some sense of control after a crisis event. Crisis counseling is discrete and has limited goals to ensure a victim is safe and to promote stability. The goal is to provide emotional support and concrete feedback/assistance for the victim. Crisis counseling helps victims to problem solve and helps them to obtain resources. Violence Intervention Project has experienced staff to assist you and your immediate needs. All services are free and confidential.
